New official partner of the Apulia Soundtrack Awards festival since 2023, Editions musicales François 1er (EMF) are repeating this fruitful collaboration this year by opening new horizons in Europe and the United States.

Active for more than 30 years under the direction of Denis FURNE, Edition Musicales (EMF) have developed a large catalog of music for image and exceptional signatures in publishing, production and musical supervision, synchronization and artistic partnerships (Ofenbach, Santa, and many new artists). They have notably created the soundtracks for leading series such as Borgia, Mafiosa, The Transporter, and numerous series,  feature films, documentaries and animated series.

After a first experience within SACEM, Denis FURNE now manages a large musical catalog of several thousand titles and hundreds of original soundtracks and manages several audiovisual television and cinema catalogs (heritage films such as Cyrano de Bergerac, Hussard on the Roof,  Samsara, Tandem -several films by P. Leconte and B. Tavernier-  He also created the music library label Scoring Pictures with UNIVERSAL PRODUCTION MUSIC and manages the musical rights for several radio stations in France.

Andy Hill, since 2019 dean and director of studies of the Film Scoring Academy of Europe in Sofia, Bulgaria, is a thirty-five year veteran of the film and television music industry, former vice- president of music production for Walt Disney Studios, Grammy Award-winning music supervisor, founder of the MFA program in Music Composition for the Screen at Columbia College Chicago, and author of Scoring The Screen: The Secret Language Of Film Music (Hal Leonard, June 2017). Films for which he served as executive in charge of music production have earned nine Academy Awards in music categories. Projects for which Andy served as music supervisor include Ed Wood, Message In A Bottle, and James and the Giant Peach.

In 2012, Andy was engaged to oversee the launch of the international MA in film scoring at Berklee College of Music, Valencia, Spain. He continued to teach and lecture in Europe for three years, and developed a “traveling classroom” for both aspiring media composers and filmmakers eager to learn how to more effectively employ music in cinematic storytelling. Following his engagement by the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, he returned to Europe and to a new home in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Andy received his doctorate in film musicology from the University of South Wales, Cardiff, Wales in 2020.

Luis Ivars

Luis Ivars, is the Honorary Chairman of Musimagen – the Spanish Association for Audiovisual Composers. He has also held the presidency of FFACE, being one of their founders. He has participated actively in the foundation and development of ECSA. Actually, he is member of the board of directors of the Spanish Film Academy and of the ECSA. He has being collaborative with the CIAM, specially across the Screen Composers WG and the International Fair Trade Music initiative. Since 2019, he has presided over the Audiovisual Alliance, the largest Spanish federation that represents audiovisual professionals and technicians.

After his classic academic training as a composer, he explored different styles such as pop, blues, rock, jazz, ethnic, or electronic music. During twenty years he has gone on tour as keyboardist at national and international level before fully working in the cinema business in the 90´s. Since then, he has composed more than eighty soundtracks for films, documentaries, shorts, video dance, TV series and drama as Tiempos de Azúcar, La Dama Boba, 22 Ángeles or Capitán Trueno y el Santo Grial. Her work includes HBO, CNN, PBS, Sundance, SXSW, Berlin FF, Tribeca, Emmy, and Oscar nominated films: RBG, Love Gilda, Gabby Giffords – Won’t Back Down, Til Kingdom Come, Dilemma of Desire, Flannery, Dark Money, The Hunting Ground, Ethel, Lost in La Mancha, Thin, Poster Girl, Vito, Kings Point, Ghosts of Abu Ghraib, A Plastic Ocean, Licensed To Kill, and many more. Co-Producer and Composer of Dark Money and One Lucky Elephant. Co-produced live jazz albums on Polygram Records including Joe Williams (nominated for a Grammy as Co-Producer), Nina Simone, Shirley Horn, Marlena Shaw. Most recently, a featured artists on Grammy Award winning album, “Women Warriors:  Voices of Change”.

Pitof

Director & Special effects specialist: Alien: Resurrection, Catwoman, Vidocq...

Pitof entered the film industry in 1976 as an assistant director and film editor. He branched out into visual effects in 1986 when he co-founded Duran Duboi, a post-production studio. He continued working as a visual effects supervisor and assistant director until 2001, when his directorial debut, the supernatural thriller film Vidocq was released. The film was notable for being the first motion picture to be shot using entirely digital cinematography.

Caterina Murino

She began her acting career in the production of the play Richard III in 1999 and later made her breakthrough with the French films “The Corsican File” (2004) and French ”Fried Vacation 3: Friends Forever” (2006). She then played a James Bond Girl in the first new James Bond with Daniel Craig “Casino Royale” (2006) and received a European Golden Globe at the Italian Golden Globe Awards (2008).

Tiziana de Carolis is a passionate and committed artist, pianist, composer and author, who composes for concerts as well as for theatre, dance and audio-visual.

Yves Bigot

Yves Bigot is one of the major players in the international media. He began with music on the radio (Europe 1, RTL) then on French television (France 2) where he also collaborated with Antoine de Caunes on the rock and pop program “Rapido”. In 2005, Yves Bigot became managing director of France 4 then of RTBF in Belgium and of Arte Belgium. He is now the managing director of TV5 world, representing 120 stations around the world.
